By accessing or using Lumière, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Lumière helps you discover films through curated recommendations, a personal library, taste calibration, and related features. Recommendations are suggestions generated with the help of automated tools and third-party data; they are offered for your enjoyment and are not guarantees of any particular result, availability, or suitability.
Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your region). You may delete your account at any time.
You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:
The Lumière name, design, original text, and software are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy or redistribute our materials without permission.
Film metadata, posters, and ratings are provided by The Movie Database. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Streaming availability is provided via TMDB and JustWatch and may not always be accurate or current. Recommendations are generated with assistance from Anthropic's Claude. These providers' own terms and rights apply to their content.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that recommendations will suit your taste, that streaming information is accurate, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lumière will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.
You may stop using Lumière and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service, and we may modify or discontinue features over time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
